Gregory D. “Greg” Kingery, 54, rural Oblong, Illinois passed away at 11:18 p.m. Sunday, May 5, 2013, at Crawford Memorial Hospital, Robinson, Illinois. Born in Sullivan, Indiana on March 19, 1959, he was the son of Victor Dean Kingery and Patricia Ann (Meeks) Kingery. He was a former employee of Neeley Marathon Gas Station and Freedom Gas Station, Oblong, Illinois and for the last six years Greg farmed for Keith & Dee Boughan, who was just like a brother to them. Greg was a lifelong farmer. Greg was a member of the IPA Illinois Pullers Association and ISPA, Illinois Stock Pullers Association. He loved collecting, working on and pulling tractors. He will be sadly missed by his two favorite companions, Luther and Bouncer.
Greg is survived by his parents, Victor & Patricia Kingery; his companion of many years, Rita L. “Muffie” Wall; a sister, Debbie Sheridan; several aunts and uncles; two nieces, Jessica Sheridan Babare and Jennifer Sheridan; a great-niece Olivia Gonzalez and Willie Wall who was like a son to him.
Greg was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clyde Sr. & Eva Mae Kingery and Oscar & Joann Meeks.
Bro. Bill Ikemire will officiate the funeral service with burial to follow in Hardinville Cemetery, Hardinville, Illinois.
